Starting a brand new calendar year, we will learn about things the Bible can help us do to--make good choices, have courage, show mercy, and become a Christian.

January 6: How to Choose

	Scripture: Daniel 1:1-20
	Memory Verse: I will instruct you and show you the way to go. -- Psalm 32:8
	Life Application: I can depend on the Bible to help me make good choices.

January 13: To Have Courage

	Scripture: Esther 2:2-18; 4:5-17; 5:1-8; 7:1-10; 8:8-17
	Memory Verse: Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. -- Joshua 1:9
	Life Application: The Bible can help me be courageous.

January 20: To Show Mercy

	Scripture: 1 Samuel 24
	Memory Verse: Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. -- Luke 6:36
	Life Application: I can learn from the Bible to show mercy.

January 27: How to Become a Christian

	Scripture: Acts 8:26-40
	Memory Verse: Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. -- Romans 10:13
	Life Application: I can learn from the Bible how to become a Christian.
