One Body

Unit Thrust
We focus this month on the church, the body of Christ. We will learn about how one becomes part of the body, how we celebrate the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper together, and how we serve one through the church.

April 6: Join the Body: Become a Christian

	Scripture: John 3:1-17; Romans 3:23; 5:8-10; 6:23; 10:9-10
	Memory Verse: For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. -- John 3:16
	Life Application: I can accept God's gift of salvation when the Holy Spirit prompts me.

April 13: Obey God: Be Baptized

	Scripture: Matthew 3:1-6, 11-17; 28:19; Acts 2:36-41; Romans 6:1-4
	Memory Verse: Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. -- Matthew 28:19
	Life Application: I can know that God wants people to be baptized after they become Christians.

April 20: Remember Jesus: The Lord's Supper

	Scripture: Matthew 26:17-30
	Memory Verse: Do this in remembrance of Me. -- 1 Corinthians 11:24
	Life Application: When my church celebrates the Lords' Super, I can remember what Jesus did for me.

April 27: Serve the Body: Do My Part

	Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7,12-10,26-27
	Memory Verse: We must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith. -- Galatians 6:10
	Life Application: I can serve in my church with the abilities God gives me.
