Privacy Policy Statement

The Sunday School Page
Kidz Web Home

This is the personal web site of Thomas J. Cook.  I have created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate my firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for The Sunday School Page and Kidz Web Home.

We use your IP address to administer our Web site. We use cookies for other purposes described below.  Under no circumstances is information collected from visitors on this site shared with third parties.

This site contains links to other sites. The Sunday School Page is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Information Collection

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes the consumer's domain name (where possible). The web server collects aggregate information (not identified by individual) on what pages visitors access or visit.

We collect only the domain name, but not the e-mail address, of visitors to our Web page. We collect the e-mail addresses of those who voluntarily provide it as they post messages to our bulletin board, mailing lists, guest book, or story page. We also collect other information volunteered by the visitor, such as survey information or site links.

Those who voluntarily sign our Guest Book are additionally asked to provide further information regarding their geographic location, age, and favorite Bible verse.  Providing this information is entirely voluntary; although it is publicly available to those who may access the Guest Book, it is never provided to third parties.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual visitor, to notify consumers about updates to our Web site.  We never share information with other organizations.

Cookies

We use cookies to store visitors preferences (for the bulletin boards) and to record past activity at a site in order to provide better service when visitors return to our site (for the bulletin boards and "Sunday School Pick" link).

Public Forums

This site makes discussion forums, guest books, and a story page available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information, and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

Children's Guidelines

This site intends and attempts to comply with COPPA guidelines.  Children under the age of thirteen are requested not to enter personal information without prior consent of parents. This is not a commercial site, and no merchandising or commercial offers are extended to children.

Upon request we will provide parents with access to all information that we maintain about their children, and at their request delete or modify that information. Parents can access this information or have this information corrected by sending us e-mail at the below address, identifying the child in question.

Choice/Opt-Out

If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, please either "unsubscribe" from the specific list you joined, or let us know by sending us e-mail at the below address.  You must specify which of the several list servers you wish to unsubscribe from (i.e., bulletin board, VBS news, site news, or software news).

Upon request we will provide site visitors with access to all information that we maintain about them. Visitors can access this information or have this information corrected by sending us e-mail at the below address.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) was passed by U.S. Congress in November 1998. COPPA requires that operators of online services or Web sites obtain parental consent prior to the collection, use, disclosure, or display of the personal information of children. The Federal Trade Commission established rules for the act's implementation, which go into affect April 21, 2000.

The Act provides parents with specific rights regarding their children's privacy. For additional information and resources on COPPA visit the links below.
