What’s your favorite food? Do you think it would still be your favorite if you had it to eat every day for forty years??? That’s what the Israelites did with the special food that God provided for them in the wilderness. They had never seen it before, so they didn’t know what it was. They called it “manna” — meaning “what is it?”
This Sunday we’ll learn the story of how God took care of the Israelites, His Chosen People, as they traveled across the wilderness. Although they complained a lot, God still gave them everything they needed. But there were some special rules about manna that made sure everyone kept on trusting in God. Do you know what the rules were?
We’ll find out Sunday. We’ll also have a special Thanksgiving video—be thinking about the things you are really thankful for. And don’t forget…this is the last Sunday we can bring in our Thanksgiving bags of food to share with needy families for Thanksgiving dinner (and more). Please bring your decorated bags, even if you have no food to put in them.
And, of course, it’s a great day to bring a friend!
