One of the great things about God is that He treats everyone the same. Each person is valuable to Him, and He gives each of us the same invitation to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The Bible is clear that it doesn’t matter whether a person is male or female, Jew or Gentile, black or white, young or old, or any other type of person. God loves us all the same, and expects us to do the same.
Next Sunday’s story is about Peter and a Roman Centurion named Cornelius. Cornelius was the very first person to become a Christian who was not Jewish to begin with. That’s a big deal, since Christianity started out with only Jewish members in Jerusalem…but now it’s spreading to other places and other races of people.
We need to remember that there are lots of different kinds of people, around the world and in our own communities, and that all of them need to hear that Jesus loves them. Who do you know that you can invite to VBS or to Sunday School, or share a Bible verse or story with?
See you next week…and don’t forget to invite someone to come with you.
