Welcome to a brand new year, 2008! This is a time when lots of people make “new year’s resolutions,” goals that they would like to accomplish during the coming year, or things that they would like to do differently in their lives and habits.
One great new year’s resolution would be to read the Bible each day! The Bible is God’s “instruction book” for our lives. And He should know how we can get the most out of our lives…after all, He made us!
This month we will be learning about how to make good choices. The place to start is with the instruction that God gives in the Bible. But we need to read and study the Bible in order to follow God’s instruction.
This Sunday we will begin with the story of Daniel and his friends, who were taken captive by King Nebuchadnezzar to train as his royal advisors. The King had certain ideas on how the young men should be treated, but Daniel and his friends knew that God’s way was best…and had some very good ideas on how to get permission to follow God’s rules.
Join us Sunday as we look at the importance of obeying God in making our choices…and some of the best ways to do that.
