Did you know people were watching your actions? What you do—the things you say, the way you treat others, your attitudes and even your smile—make a difference in how other people, adults and children, think about you.
Today’s study, about Paul and Silas in Philippi, is about how our actions can help tell others about Jesus. There is someone around you for whom you are the best Christian they know. Jesus said that, if our lives and actions show His kind of love and joy, others will be attracted to us and want the same kind of abundant life that He came to give everyone.
The way we can help others know Jesus by our actions is really to stay very close to Jesus. We must spend time with Him by reading the Bible, by praying, by learning and worshiping with other Christians. That’s the way you can have the best life yourself, and it will attract others to want to know more about Jesus as well.
Sunday, August 19, will be our graduation party, with diplomas, gifts, and refreshments. This is mainly for our class, but you can still bring a friend.
Sunday, August 26, is the church Family Reunion, and our Sunday School class will not be meeting. Check out the church web site for details at the Jersey Family Reunion page.
Sunday, September 2, is Promotion Sunday, and all our pupils who have completed Fourth Grade will go to the Fifth Grade class (right next door).
See you Sunday!
Tom and Sydney Cook
