The Bible is the record of God’s revealing Himself to people, beginning in the Garden of Eden, through Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the prophets, and reaching its highest point in the life of Jesus. It records how God worked in history, in the lives of men and women, boys (like Samuel when he was very young) and girls (like Miriam, Moses’ sister) to make sure people could know His message.
God wants to use us, today, to tell others about Him and His story in history. The month of August will find us studying events from the life of Paul, who spend his life traveling around the world telling people about Jesus. This Sunday we’ll be looking at Paul’s first missionary journey, which finds Paul and his friend Barnabas preaching in what was then called Asia (today we know the area as “Turkey” ).
You’ll want to join us as we learn about the dangers that Paul and Barnabas faced, and how they kept on telling people about Jesus.
Don’t forget to bring a friend!
Tom and Sydney Cook
