: I found a church using this model. Their site is www.zionucc.org. I was very excited about this.
: But I have a few questions. Would you write me with answers to the following?
: 1. How much space is needed for this model? Our church has no formal classroom space. We meet in areas that have been designed for other things, ie, fellowship hall, conference room, sanctuary.
: 2. How much does this cost? Zion had very elaborate equipment(computers, A-V)
: 3. How did you find and train your teachers for this? Our teachers are very traditional and not willing to let go of the quarterlys.
: I would appreciate any light that could be shed on this.
We have a small church (75-100) and we have been using the Workshop Rotation Model (using Potter's Workshop curriculum). It has been great, but a challenge! We only do two workshops at a time, needing only two rooms, two teachers, each week. My teachers are very non-traditional, and most have never taught in church before! They need the lesson plans all spelled out and hand-fed to them.
This is work-intensive for me, and expensive.
Right now I am searching for more free curriculum. Hope this helps. In fact, I hope somebody READS this! ;-)
